Our Mission

The Junior Jazz Foundation was formed to preserve Jazz through education and live performance. The spirit of The Junior Jazz Foundation is to make sure that schools and promising young artists get the instruments, music lessons, and facilities they need. It ensures that young musicians are endowed with scholarships to fulfill their American musical heritage.

The foundation sponsors great Jazz performances for everyone to enjoy at The Jazz Corner on Hilton Head Island, Bob Masteller’s Jazz for All Ages Annual Festival, Hilton Head Jazz Camp, and several other outreach venues throughout the Lowcountry. It is proven that young people who play Jazz stay on the right track. They learn teamwork, concentration, excellence through effort, and the joy of performance.

The Junior Jazz Foundation is lead by a board of directors and volunteers. All of their energy is focused on improving the education and live performances of our great young rising stars.
